Public Yoga Classes

This is a gentle to moderate level Hatha yoga practice, with a special emphasis on rehabilitation from injuries or chronic conditions. Individual attention and depth of practice are emphasized instead of so-called “advanced” postures. This is an excellent class for ongoing students as well as beginners.

Private Yoga

As a therapeutic yoga instructor, I can design a yoga practice to fit the needs of any practitioner at any level of experience or fitness by:

  1. Addressing any physical issues such as injuries, illnesses, or limitations.
  2. Developing a personalized yoga practice to fit the needs and lifestyle of each client.
  3. Providing detailed written and illustrated practice instructions for each client.
  4. Teaching the practice clearly so that the client can then continue on their own without need of further private instruction.

This process usually takes a minimum of four sessions to complete.

Session One: Assessment of needs and physical abilities/limitations. Based on this session, I then design a personalized yoga practice for the client.

Session Two: Introduce the yoga practice to the client. At this point, I may modify the practice as needed.

Sessions Three, Four and beyond: Detailed instruction in the practice.

Cost
Initial assessment session (approx. 2 hours): $110
Each additional session (1 – 1.5 hours each): $90

I can often provide private instruction at the client’s home or place of business, and I will bring all necessary props. (Additional travel charges may apply.) We can also use one of the yoga studios where I am affiliated. (Additional rental charges will apply.)
